Paqueta
|
So Paqueta gets into Brazils 1st 11 yet we cannot get a decent ball to him game after game after game.
Kind of say's it all about Moyes doesn't it?

There have been many great South American players who haven’t been able to adjust to English football, Juan Sebastian Veron, Robinho, Wellington Paulista etc can’t really criticise Moyes until Paqueta has been allowed to settle and learn the English game - and of course adjusting his mentality from to trying to win games to trying not to lose.

Maybe the fucking idiot Moyes should play him in the role that he plays in for his country ?
Moyes ruins players with his misguided and utterly ridiculous ractics

Re: Paqueta

Paquetta is not a 10, he's an 8 or a 6.
Playing alongside Casemiro or slightly advanced
He should be played alongside Rice
He gets stuck in, he plays simple balls and rotates the play
The idiot Moyes thinks he is our Neymar, he has no fucking idea

Moyes just can’t manage top quality players. He was rumbled at ManU early on. Even Rio sussed him out.! He’s out of excuses. And rapidly running out of time.

I love the idea of a Brazil v England final with both team's world class midfielders having a titanic duel before flying home to engage in an relegation battle under David Moyes.

Paqueta can play as a 10 but his best is as an 8. He doesn’t have the pace to dribble or or play wide.
He is a link player. Very similar to David Silva and from a West Ham perspective reminds me of Eyal Berkovic.
He needs player in front to move and offer an option for a pass.

Did okay tonight. Some incisive passing and did his part without the ball.
We just need to figure out when & where to play him.

Neat and tidy in a withdrawn position tonight. The whole side was very subdued for the first 60 mins.
Clearly a hanging offence on WHO

Re: Paqueta

He did a few good things first half with a back heel and that perfect pass to Raphina and another nice first time ball into the box. Worked hard off the ball tracking and closing.
But he plays a little deeper for Brazil and thrives on the 2 upfront, wing backs and lots of movement to create passing options. 5-3-2 formation.
Won’t be getting much of that in a compact Moyes/Nevin set up with no wing backs just one old left back and no quality right back at all. Then of course the slow build up and lack of technical quality in at least 3 or 4 players that usually make the starting 11.
Paqueta will continue to struggle without a change of system and while we still have a few players to carry who are not technically sound enough and / or too slow

He’s clearly not a shit player, that’s just a ridiculous thing to say. Whether he’s the player we needed for that sort of money is yet to be seen.
We seem to struggle when spending ‘big’ money.
